Kaaj is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young girls in Afghanistan by equipping them with the education, skills, and resources to thrive in international colleges and universities. Through language and digital literacy training, holistic mentorship, and financial support, we are paving the way for Afghan girls to become powerful agents of change in their communities and the world. At Kaaj, we break through barriers, enabling girls to pursue their dreams with unwavering confidence.

Our Story

Kaaj Education was established in early 2022, following a series of targeted attacks, including the deadly assault on the Kaaj STEM Tutoring Center in Kabul in September 2022, where hundreds of girls were preparing for the national university entrance exam. The attack was a tragic reminder of the urgent need to support the education of girls like Marzia in the midst of challenging circumstances. Since then, our journey has been one of resilience, determination, and hope. Despite the adversity, we have made it our mission to light the path of education for girls in Afghanistan, so they may become beacons of transformation, breaking barriers and realizing their dreams.

Abdullah Nazari, Operations Lead

Abdullah leads the digital infrastructure and operations of Kaaj. He contributes technical expertise and leadership to KEP, propelling our mission with innovation and dedication.

Sima baba, Communication Lead

Sima Baba with a background in Business Administration and a specialization in Marketing, she is passionate about leveraging the power of marketing and digital media to amplify the voices of Afghan girls and youth on a global stage.

Ali Sina Doosti, Advocacy Lead

An enthusiastic educator, Ali breathes life into Kaaj with his extensive experience in youth empowerment programs. His leadership of Kaaj advocacy and collaboration team speaks to his dedication to empowering the next generation through education.

Mujtaba Juya, Academic Lead

Mujtaba Leads the Academic and English Language Team where he has successfully developed curriculums, taught multiple cohorts, and will continue to inspire the next generation of learners.

Ehsan Dehzad, Int. Exams Lead

Ehsan Dehzad is a dedicated computer science student at Kentucky State University, bringing his passion for education and technology to the forefront as the lead of International Exams at Kaaj.
