The United World Colleges (UWC) National Committee of Afghanistan has officially opened applications for the 2026 intake. This is a fully funded opportunity for outstanding Afghan students to pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program at UWC schools around the world.
Each year, UWC brings together students from more than 150 countries, providing them with a high-quality education while fostering leadership, intercultural understanding, and a commitment to creating positive change in their communities.

Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive a comprehensive scholarship that includes:
- Full tuition fees for the two-year International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program.
- On-campus accommodation and meals.
- Essential textbooks and academic materials.
- Additional living expenses as determined by the assigned UWC school.
Please note: Students are responsible for obtaining their travel documents and visas. Depending on the assigned UWC school, visa processing may require travel to a neighboring country.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold Afghan nationality, whether currently living in Afghanistan or abroad.
- Be born between 1 August 2007 and 15 August 2011.
- Possess a valid Afghan Tazkira. A passport will be required during the selection process.
- Demonstrate a strong command of the English language, as the application process and academic program are conducted entirely in English.
- Obtain written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Application Process
Interested students should create an account through the official UWC application portal, select the UWC National Committee of Afghanistan, and complete all required sections of the application.
